How does WorldMillions work?
There is no single event for the WorldMillions. The final number drawn is actually made from two separate and independant events: Germany’s Plus5 and France's "JOKER+" from Keno Gagnant à vie.
We gather the winning number for the WorldMillions with this simple formula: the first four digits are taken from the last 4 digits of Plus5 (the add-on game to German Keno) and the last four digits of are taken from the last 4 digits of "JOKER+" from Keno Gagnant à vie (France).
How do I bet?
To bet, simply select an eight-digit number, select your share and submit your bet. To make sure no one else takes your lucky number, just set up a subscription; it’s also a clever way to make sure you never miss a WorldMillions event.
What is a fraction of a bet?
With WorldMillions you can stake a full line, half a line or a tenth of a line.
If you bet on half a line, you pay half the full bet amount and receive half of the prize money if you have a winning bet. Similarly, if you bet on a tenth of a line, you pay a tenth of the full bet amount and stand to win a tenth of the prize money.
Even with a tenth of a stake, which costs just R8.00, you can win up to R65 million. Staking lower amounts means that you can bet on more lines and increase your chances of winning a prize.
How much can I win?
The prize is determined by the number of digits on your bet matching the digits of the winning number.
You win the top prize amount of either event if you correctly guess all 8 numbers in the correct order.
You can also win a prize by matching the last digits of the winning number. How much you win depends on how many digits you correctly guess.
For example, if you correctly guess the last digits only, then you win the bottom prize tier. If you guess the last two digits, you win the next prize tier up and so on - right up to the eight-digit top prize.
How much does it cost and what are the prizes?
A full stake on WorldMillions costs R75 and you can win the top prize amount.
Half a stake costs R35 and you can win half the top prize amount.
A tenth of a stake costs R8.00 and you can win a tenth of the top prize amount.
The full prize breakdown can be seen below:
