Mini Bets – A Cheaper Way to Bet On Lotto’s
Table of Contents
At Lottoland we recently introduced a new concept for betting on select Lotto’s: Mini Bets. This is a brand-new way of betting, which will allow you to bet on lines at a fraction of the price! In fact, using Mini-Bets you can enter premium lotteries like EuroMillions for as little as R6!
What Are Mini Bets?
Mini Bets are new way for people to enjoy some of the most popular lotteries in the world, for a literal fraction of the price! When you purchase a Mini Bet, you pay a much lower price for your ticket. As a result of this, in a similar manner to bundle bets, you would also be eligible for a slice of the payout. With these Mini Bets you would win 10% of any payout! This is a great option for anyone who either doesn’t want to spend so much on a one-off ticket, or those who would like a less expensive way to bet on multiple lines.
Currently Mini Bets are available on three of the most popular lotteries in the world; EuroMillions, PowerBall and Mega Millions.
How Much Do They Cost?
Mini Bets allow you to purchase one, or multiple bets on one of the three eligible premium lotteries. The cost per bet varies between the three, which is shown in the price list* below.
Mini Bets Price List
|
|||
---|---|---|---|
Lotto | Full Bet Price | Mini Bet Price | % of Prize |
R60 | R6 | 10% | |
R70 | R7.50 | 10% | |
R70 | R10 | 10% |
*Please note prices may increase went the top prize exceeds certain amounts.
Why Use Mini Bets?
As already mentioned, Mini Bets are much cheaper option when it comes to betting on these lotteries. Not only that, but you can also enter multiple times at the same low price and boost your chances of winning.
How? Well, if we take EuroMillions as an example, buy a full bet costs R60 while a Mini-Bet is just R6. This means that you could bet 8 times on the EuroMillions with Mini Bets and it would still be cheaper than a full bet! While you may only be entitled to 10% of the payout, you could potentially increase your odds of winning by entering multiple times.
How To Place a Mini Bet
Placing a Mini Bet is super straightforward. The first part is probably the most difficult – deciding which lottery to bet on! Once you have decided whether to choose EuroMillions, PowerBall or Mega Millions, you just need to use our handy search function, or click on “More Bets” and navigate to the relevant lotto.
Once you are on the page of your chosen lotto you will see the option for Mini Bet above the number selection. Simply toggle the Mini Bet option so that it shows as yellow, and your selections will automatically be at the lower price.
Mini Bet, Mega Payouts!
It’s important to note that if you do choose the Mini Bet, the 10% payout can still be quite substantial. In EuroMillions, the minimum top payout is around R330 Million, so a 10% payout would net you R33 million. Meanwhile, the American lotteries Mega Millions and PowerBall would pay you a minimum of R35.9 million for your 10% share. Not a bad return for R10 or less!
